Click an empty space on the taskbar, and then hold down the mouse button as you drag the taskbar to one of the four edges of the desktop. When the taskbar is where you want it, release the mouse button. Cheers.
bug: windows maximize behind taskbar my windows ( all of them ) are maximizing and going behind the taskbar. view attached image. task bar is set to be locked.. etc etc. i just cant figure it out. this just randomly started happening.
It sounds like the taskbar might have moved to the right hand side of the monitor. This tutorial (option two) shows how to drag the taskbar back to the bottom. Once you've done that, lock the taskbar so it won't move again. Taskbar - Move Location on Desktop Screen
Taskbar moves even when locked Hi, I keep my taskbar at the bottom of the screen, using W7 64b, HP fully updated. It seems like occasionally I'll click on a folder on the taskbar, maybe accidentally drag and right-click, (I can't replicate how exactly), but the whole taskbar will end up getting moved to the top of the screen.
Can't move the taskbar without hole at bottom of screen So I just went from Ubuntu back to Windows 7, and the thing I miss the most is the dock. So I got a dock emulator for windows and decided to move the taskbar to the top of the screen, sort of like Ubuntu. However my problem lies with the way applications maximize.
How To Move/Delete the "My Dell" Icon On The Taskbar Just bought a new Dell Inspiron 3000 (actually a 3847) and reinstalled Win 7 Professional. There is an icon at the far right of the taskbar for "My Dell" (it's a blue circle, outlined in white, with a white wrench inside).
Normally, when I want to do something on the taskbar, I will unconsciously move the mouse very far to the bottom (actually, farther than it can really go on the screen) so that I *know* that I *must* be on the taskbar, and then hit some buttons there. Recently, however, this has stopped working, and I very often simply missed buttons.
How to move a window that is off the screen in Windows 7? Hope this helps the next guy who finds this post and shift + right-click doesn't work. Move your mouse to the icons on the status bar and wait for the thumnails to show up. Then move your mouse on the one you want to drag, right click on it and you will see.
have u tried hiding (or dragging it to another edge temorarily) the taskbar, and then moving the offending windows up into the middle of the desktop, then closing them. Does this help them to appear in the correct place? Yes, unfortunately I do have to end up moving my taskbar to move them out, but having it automatically hide is a good idea ...
