After launching "Operation Midway Blitz" at the beginning of September, there has been a rapid escalation of ICE in Chicago, with armed agents marching through the Loop.

Runners in the 2025 Chicago Marathon may be taking off in Chicago's Grant Park early Sunday, but hours later they'll be finishing there.

It’s marathon weekend in Chicago, with more than 53,000 runners from around the world set to participate. The race begins in waves starting at 7:20 a.m. Sunday in Grant Park and follows a route around 29 of Chicago’s neighborhoods.

Greg Bovino, who is commanding CBP field operations in Chicago for Operation Midway Blitz, has been ordered to appear in person for a status hearing on Tuesday.

The first "No Kings" Chicago protest was held in June in Daley Plaza and drew tens of thousands of demonstrators. Saturday's protest has been moved to Grant Park, a larger area that can accommodate more people.

District Judge Sara L. Ellis ordered ICE agents to wear body cameras after agents were seen deploying chemical weapons on protesters.
