Heavy snowfall is likely in the Sioux Falls area at times this afternoon and snowfall rates of 1-2" will be needed to get 3-6" of accumulation. The heaviest snow will happen with a second, more intense band of snow this evening across portions of western and northern IA. We are forecasting the potential for 8 " in Spencer. S
